The Sterling Series

Oil Seed & Rendering Screw Presses.

The Sterling Series is a complete range of Presses. There are variants specially designed for Rendering and both  Pre and Full Pressing of Oil Seeds. Each variant is available in a number of sizes to match the differing needs of our customers.

The different varients are identified by a Model number, from the smallest of the Sterling's, the 100 Series, up to our largest Presses the 800 Series, we will have a Press to suit your needs.

Mini Presses

For Specialty Oils and Pilot Plant applications.

The Mini Press range comprises a number of smaller Presses designed for Pilot Plant or small scale commercial production.  They are designed to operate on un-prepared seed material in either a single or double pressing mode. However they are also equally at home in a small mill with more conventional pre-treatment processes where yields as good or better than than those of a larger Press can be achieved.

The Mini Press range has been designed from the outset to give good performance and to be easy to maintain and operate. For specialist applications or the smallest mills they are the ideal Press.

The Parts Service

The Parts Service is intended to help you get the best from your Press, who ever was the original manufacturer. Good quality Wearing Parts can be the key to a profitable pressing operation, 

We have an unrivalled ability to examine your pressing operation and asses whether your Press can be upgrade using the latest technology and Worm Assembly design philosophy. "Cheap" Parts that don't last can be very expensive.  Which is why we at Rosedowns invest in materials research and product development to ensure that our Parts and Service remain the best possible.

Compress

 The Press Control System.

Our Compress System is a rugged PLC based system that will watch over a Press, 24 Hours a day, 7 Days a week.  It will monitor and control the Press operation to ensure that it is always running at its best. By keeping a Press operating at its optimum efficiency and safely handling the many variations in feed material it can save you significant amounts.

Our System can be retro-fitted to control and existing Press or supplied as part of a fully integrated Panel.

The Complete Plant

 From Mini Mills to the Largest Pre-Press Plant.

As well as supplying equipment, we can supply a full engineering service to help you build a new mill. Whether your requirements are a large scale Pre-Press or Full-Press Plant or a simple self contained Mini Mill then we have the experience to help you.

All oil mills will be designed to your particular requirements, the project can include Equipment Specification and Sourcing, Design and Layout work and even a full Turnkey project execution in conjunction with our sister companies in the De Smet Group.

Cake Breakers

 For mounting at Press Discharge

In many applications it is necessary to reduce the size of the Cake produced from the Press, so that it is suitable for subsequent processing.

We produce two versions, one built integrally into the Discharge of the Sterling Series Range, the other a standalone unit. Both are a simple rugged Breakers that will effectively reduce the particle size discharged from the Press.
