The Worm Assembly is the key functional part of a Screw Press or Expeller. It is the Worm Assembly design that more than any other part will make or break a successful Press design. The Design must firstly produce the required Products, Oil or Fat, and Cake of the required quality. But at the same time the Power Consumption, Heat Generation and Wear Life must all be within acceptable limits. In recent years the advent of Multi-Stage, Lower Compression Worm Assemblies has led to significant improvements in Performance, wear life and Power Consumption. |
